I was selected under the NTU India Connect Program for an internship at NTU Singapore, to work under Prof. Xie Ming, School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, NTU Singapore.

My project "OSMind: An Analytical Tool for Robotics", comprised of development of an analytical software for visualization, simulation, and image processing using the Robotics Operating System (ROS).

The experience was truly enlightening. I learned a lot about the software aspects of robotics, and was very happy to see the practical applications of my projects. My supervisor was very helpful, motivating, and inspired me to maximize my productivity and produce the best results. I along with my professor are planning to write a research paper soon.

I was fortunate to meet several IIT alums at the PAN IIT Alumni meet in Singapore. I was also lucky to meet Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, IIT R 1981 batch and a major donor to IIT Roorkee Heritage Foundation. It is alum donors like him that are making dreams come true for students like me through the IITRHF platform.

Overall, this was my best internship experience till now, and I am thankful and indebted to IITRHF for their support.

IITRHF has played a huge role in motivating me, in both academic and co-curricular activities.

1st I got Pledge a Dream grant towards my internship in early 2020 at Technische Universität, Dresden, Germany, and later IITRHF Excellence Award.

I plan to pursue a MS+PhD, as Prof. Joreg, under whom I am doing my internship has advised me.

I express my sincere gratitude to the IIT R Heritage Foundation and can't wait to be a part of it, helping young students like me in the future.

I did my internship at NTU Singapore under Prof Alex Kot in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through the NTU-India Connect Research Internship Program. The project was in the field of computer vision titled "Imbalanced object classification/detection", where I developed an algorithmic level approach which improves the accuracy of classes with fewer instances.

I interacted with a lot of students, along with various academic/industrial researchers, which helped me grow both professionally and personally. I got exposure to industrial research as my research done had to be directly deployed in the final product. The internship gave me the necessary International exposure, which will be further helpful for my graduate studies. I, along with my professor, are also planning to write a paper soon.

I was partially funded by NTU for the Internship and had to manage Travel and Living expenses on my own. 'Pledge a Dream' program filled the gap of funding and helped me cover the rest of the costs. For an undergraduate student, even a small amount of funding can reduce the financial barrier to pursue an internship abroad. I want to thank IITR Heritage Foundation, including all its donors, for the help and would urge all the students to use this program's benefits.

During my internship at NTU, Singapore under the guidance of Prof. Chng Eng Siong, my work was focused on “Automatic Dialogue Summarization”. Worked on developing an end-to-end pipeline for text summarization and at the same time, used various techniques to improve the quality of generated summaries. I developed summarization model  for both abstractive and extractive summarization. Learning optimization of model for practical use-case was one of the unique and important characteristics of this internship. This was a great learning experience for me.

IITR Heritage Foundation plays an important role in motivating and supporting students; and also helping them financially. I express my sincere gratitude to the foundation and thank them for supporting financially. I look forward to being a part of the foundation and take its endeavours to new heights.

Today I attended IITRHF award ceremony  in the campus. It reminded me IITRHF's kind support of financial assistance to mr Vikas thakur for attending conference at Korea.
I thought just let me thank IITRHF again.

I feel that I was really lucky to be a part of CIIP initiative. Without IITRHF this collaboration would not have been possible so I would like to thank each and every member of IITRHF for making this internship possible. I have worked on a lot of projects and learnt a lot from them. Apart from the technical knowledge, the exposure we got helped us developing on each and every aspect of our personality. Thanks a lot to every one member of IITRHF and one year experience at Cisco SanJose. It indeed is be a life time experience for me.

I personally believe IITRHF is a great initiative by our Alumni and it has been contributing and investing in the development of people and institute in general. I got a chance to be part of the Cisco International Internship Program for a period of 1 year (2014-15) thanks to IITRHF for their active role as a mediator between industry and institute and helping all the interns all the way in any need during their stay in USA. I really appreciate their efforts and motto.

I consider myself very fortunate to be part of Cisco International Internship Program (CIIP). The program is well designed to meet both cultural and professional aspects of an internship. I made excellent friends and have a better perspective on how things work in Industries. The work culture in Cisco San Jose is  great and I have learned a lot during my 12 months there .I have evolved as a person and an engineer. I'd recommend anybody to take this opportunity and make the most of it.Thank you IITRHF for a life changing experience.
