TESTIMONIALS

I did my internship at NTU Singapore under Prof Alex Kot in the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering through the NTU-India Connect Research Internship Program. The project was in the field of computer vision titled "Imbalanced object classification/detection", where I developed an algorithmic level approach which improves the accuracy of classes with fewer instances. I interacted with a lot of students, along with various academic/industrial researchers, which helped me grow both professionally and personally. I got exposure to industrial research as my research done had to be directly deployed in the final product. The internship gave me the necessary International exposure, which will be further helpful for my graduate studies. I, along with my professor, are also planning to write a paper soon. I was partially funded by NTU for the Internship and had to manage Travel and Living expenses on my own. 'Pledge a Dream' program filled the gap of funding and helped me cover the rest of the costs. For an undergraduate student, even a small amount of funding can reduce the financial barrier to pursue an internship abroad. I want to thank IITR Heritage Foundation, including all its donors, for the help and would urge all the students to use this program's benefits. |

During my internship at NTU, Singapore under the guidance of Prof. Chng Eng Siong, my work was focused on “Automatic Dialogue Summarization”. Worked on developing an end-to-end pipeline for text summarization and at the same time, used various techniques to improve the quality of generated summaries. I developed summarization model for both abstractive and extractive summarization. Learning optimization of model for practical use-case was one of the unique and important characteristics of this internship. This was a great learning experience for me. IITR Heritage Foundation plays an important role in motivating and supporting students; and also helping them financially. I express my sincere gratitude to the foundation and thank them for supporting financially. I look forward to being a part of the foundation and take its endeavours to new heights. |

I consider myself very fortunate to be part of Cisco International Internship Program (CIIP). The program is well designed to meet both cultural and professional aspects of an internship. I made excellent friends and have a better perspective on how things work in Industries. The work culture in Cisco San Jose is great and I have learned a lot during my 12 months there .I have evolved as a person and an engineer. I'd recommend anybody to take this opportunity and make the most of it.Thank you IITRHF for a life changing experience. |
