More than 1000 papers were presented as contributed papers
and keynote papers, to be delivered by leading experts from academia and
industry, through which I had gained a lot of practical knowledge and current
research orientation. Many world class organizations had participated in this
conference and were sponsored by internationally renowned companies.
Presenting my paper at this conference has given me a
unique opportunity to interact with the co-researchers from different parts of
the world working in this area. The technical inputs and/or suggestions that I
have received during the oral presentation and discussions with authoritative
personalities are of great help for my research work.
The visit is very fruitful in terms of useful
interactions, exposure to recent innovations, ideas and developments, and
formulation of new problems for further investigations.
I cordially thank the IIT Roorkee Heritage
Foundation for assessing my possibilities of attending this International
Conference and encouraging my hopes of doing so, I am indeed greatly indebted
for the service rendered. Thank you once again.

I am writing to thank IIT-R Heritage Foundation for their generous
support. I'm very happy and appreciative that I was selected as the recipient
of travel funding, which materialized my dream of presenting my research paper
at IEEE conference in Korea.
This scholarship gave the initial thrust for presenting paper in an
international conference.
I am a computer science major with an emphasis in Network Security.
I plan to pursue a PhD in Computer Science upon competitions of masters from
IIT Roorkee. This visit has opened new perspectives for me and will definitely
help me in my future endeavors. Thanks to IITRHF, I am one
step closer to that goal.
Thank you once again for your generous support.
As an honor to IITRHF, I acknowledge the contribution I receive
from them in my dissertation report as well as final presentation.

I am grateful to IITRHF for providing me a financial assistance to attend the ICINC-2010 “International Conference on Intelligent Network and Computing-2010” was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November 26 to 28, 2010. I appreciate this support from the bottom of my heart and will be indebted to IITRHF.
I have benefited from attending this renowned conference and from the interactions with the other authors. By presenting my paper in the conference I got feedback from other authors and pioneer researchers regarding my present work and this boost up my motivation and enable me to do further research. I was fortunate enough to attend the conference only due to the support of IITRHF. This organization is doing a great favor to the students of IITR by providing financial assistance and motivating students to pursue good research and representing it at the global scenario.
I would like to appreciate IITHF for providing travel grant for the students who are not able to receive grant from other funding agencies like DST, CSIR etc.

It was my great pleasure to receive financial assistance from IITRHF and I am highly thankful for this. This grant is of great advantage to students who are not able to get funding from agencies like DST, CSIR etc.
The conference provided me a platform for the exchange of ideas and in depth discussions on the topics of High Tc superconductor, ferroelectric, composites, liquid crystals, multiferroics, ceramic materials, Hetrostructure, High K dielectrics, etc.

A Note from Aurva: I am a proud Roorkee Alumni and always shared a close bond with my batch mates and seniors. I always cherished the good times in college and remember that my colleagues had always been there for me. On this IITR Heritage platform, I would like to share a little anecdote. Recent times have been rough. Especially in California, as the economy tanked, I lost my job along with many other people. I used to live in a small town called Ventura. To find a job I had to pack my bags and move out. As I went from one place to another (Los Angeles, Irvine and then Bay Area) interviewing for different companies, my friends from Roorkee took care of me. They let me stay with them and I always felt at home. Time went by and I still did not have a job. Companies willing to hire me would later come back with a rejection as more and more projects got canceled. Throughout this time, my Roorkee family was supporting me. Everybody chipped in with whatever they could do. From contacting lawyers to calling contacts in the IT industry, from job recruiters to contacts in the Oil industry; they tried everything. Just before time ran out, through phone calls and multiple emails that everybody sent, I finally found an opportunity that matched my interests. Sitting on the bench without a job is a very tough experience, and I could only make it through with everybody's help and support. I feel it is my responsibility to support my fellow Roorkeeites in whatever way I can and hope you feel the same way. I am sincerely hoping that the above few lines will inspire you to chip in, to do your bit, and to take some action. Our ties go way beyond just get-togethers and tea-samosas. We are there for each other. |

DocSnap initially appeared at the Business Plan Competition organized by IIT Roorkee Heritage Fund. Declared winners, they moved on to Pan IIT Chicago and came out winners there as well. A Blurb about DocSnap:
DocSnaps, founded by IIT-R alumni, was declared the winner out of 70 entries at the recently concluded PanIIT Business Plan competition in Chicago. ( http://paniit2009.org/program/speakers/panel-discussions-session-2-innovation ) DocSnaps is a web application that helps companies easily manage their financial records. Tedious and manual bookkeeping data entry from documents is replaced with automation. Companies and individuals can capture bills, expenses, checks and any other documents at source, automatically extract financial information, create transactions, and manage their records. Financial information can be viewed in drill-down reports or exported to popular accounting software.
For those looking to do their year-end bookkeeping and scrambling to get their expenses into quickbooks or other software, we have the perfect solution. See here: http://www.docsnaps.com/blog/
