Winning teams

First Prize Rs 50,000 to Mooshak: Propose to facilitate the delivery of packages through an existing travel infrastructure. Existing package delivery services are convoluted, cumbersome and ineffective at the same time, Mooshak solves this by building a platform that dissolves information asymmetry and brings ease of access back to the people. Mooshak connects people travelling from one point to another and people that need to deliver packages through the same line. Imagine a world where you can make your package hitchhike on a biker travelling from your home in New Delhi to some remote village in Ladakh. Mooshak is like Uber for your package.

Second Prize Rs 30,000 to Work Like This: The idea is to prevent back pain by posture correction. This is done by two means. One to track the posture by a small electronic device and the second by a deep learning algorithm to do the same by data from the camera of laptop only.

Third Prize Rs 20,000 to Ark: Embarked upon the journey of targeting significant loads of untreated floral waste and preventing its dumping and polluting the aquatic systems, ARK aims up-cycling the floral waste to make useful consumer goods, the first one being the ARK incense sticks, that are processed from the flowers collected from dargahs and temples. Currently, we are working in collaboration with an NGO "The spinal of youth" based in Kaliyar, a town near Roorkee, where we collect the waste flower from the Kaliyar Dargah, and teach the local village women to make incense sticks.
